This English translation is provided for convenience only. The Korean version is the official text, and in case of any discrepancy, the Korean version prevails.

Selling counterfeit, imitation, or forged goods infringes the trademark rights of others and may be subject to civil and criminal penalties. [Article 108 of the Trademark Act (์ƒํ‘œ๋ฒ•)]

Items That Cannot Be Sold on the ZILM Secondhand Marketplace

  • Items made to resemble trademark-registered goods by imitating the design of a specific brand's products

  • Listings containing descriptions such as counterfeit, fake, imitation, mirror-grade, S-grade, A-grade, or "made to closely resemble the genuine product"

  • Listings that use famous trademarks without authorization with expressions such as "~style", "~st", or "~replica"

  • Items labeled as novelty or VIP gift products

  • Factory-surplus ("loss") products without a genuine serial number

  • Cases where the seller does not accept authenticity inquiries or does not know whether the item is genuine or counterfeit

  • Any other case where authenticity is unclear

Procedure for Substantiating Authenticity

  1. Verification through the product's manufacturer (where the trademark holder has determined the item to be genuine)

  2. Verification by a public institution or an equivalent affiliated body (verification by private agencies, other service companies, etc. is excluded)

  3. Cases where the item has been verified as genuine through a civil or criminal investigation (a notice of investigation results, a copy of the court judgment, etc.)

Procedure for Requesting a Refund from the Seller

Because clear evidence that the traded item is counterfeit is required, you must submit documentation and an expert opinion proving that the item is counterfeit.

The authenticity appraisal agencies referenced by the customer center during mediation are as follows.

  1. An opinion from the manufacturer of the traded item

If an item is determined to be counterfeit based on an expert opinion, we send the reported party a message recommending a refund. If the reported party does not respond or refuses to issue a refund even after receiving this notice, we take active measures such as restricting their use of the service and facilitating communication between the parties.
