Account
Jileum allows users to create an account through an ID and mobile phone SMS verification process. Users may use the Service by logging in with one account for each platform, namely the website and the app. Only one account may be created with a single mobile phone number. If your mobile phone number changes, you must immediately update your information to avoid any disadvantage. Account creation or login may be refused in the following cases:
If you attempt to create an account using another person’s name, mobile phone number, or other personal information
If you attempt to create two or more accounts with a single mobile phone number
If you are determined to be the same user whose account was previously deleted or who was disciplined for legitimate reasons, such as violation of the operating principles or applicable laws
If you use a mobile phone number for which a history of transaction fraud has been confirmed through fraud information sharing websites or government agencies
If the mobile phone number used at the time of registration is different from the mobile phone number entered during an additional procedure for identity verification
Your account may only be used by you, and you are prohibited from permitting others to use it or transferring it to another person. Users may modify additional information related to their account at any time. If your mobile phone number changes, you may update it through the SMS verification process under [My Page > Settings > Edit Member Information > Change Mobile Phone Number].
Precautions When Using the Service
If a user uses the Service through any of the following improper methods or actions, Jileum may impose restrictions on the use of the Service, including suspension of use or compulsory withdrawal.
Interfering with the provision of the Service in a non-standard manner, or accessing the Service through methods other than the procedures previously announced by Jileum
Collecting or using another user’s information or posts without authorization, or providing them to a third party
Improperly using the Service for profit, advertising, promotion, or similar purposes
Sending or posting obscene materials, copyright-infringing materials, or other content that violates public order and morals or applicable laws
Copying, modifying, distributing, selling, transferring, leasing, pledging as collateral, or permitting a third party to use all or part of the Service or the software included therein without Jileum’s prior consent
Altering the structure of the Service by reverse engineering, decompiling, reproducing, imitating, or attempting to extract the source code of the software
Violating applicable laws, Jileum’s Terms of Use, or operating policies
Personal Information Protection
Personal information is used only within the purposes and scope consented to by the user in order to provide the Jileum Service smoothly. For more details regarding personal information protection, please refer to Jileum’s Privacy Policy.
Protection of Copyrights in Posts
The copyright in posts created by users of the Jileum Service belongs to the author of the relevant posts.
Posts uploaded by users within the Service may be exposed in search results, service screens, related promotions, advertisements, and similar areas. In addition, they may be partially modified, reproduced, or edited and used within the scope necessary to provide the Service, and may also be used for the development of new services, improvement of existing services, and technical research and development. In this process, Jileum complies with the Copyright Act, and users may request measures such as deletion of the relevant post, exclusion from search results, or conversion to private status at any time through the Customer Center or operator inquiry function.
If Jileum wishes to use a user’s post in any manner other than as described in Paragraph 2 above, Jileum must obtain the user’s prior consent by telephone, fax, email, or similar means.
Management of Posts
If a post uploaded by a user contains content that violates applicable laws, including the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection and the Copyright Act, the rights holder may request suspension of posting, deletion, or other measures in accordance with the procedures prescribed by applicable laws, and Jileum will take necessary measures in accordance with such laws.
Even without a request from a rights holder under the preceding paragraph, if there is reason to recognize infringement of rights, or if a post violates company policy or applicable laws, Jileum may take temporary measures against the relevant post, such as deletion, restriction of exposure, or suspension of posting, in accordance with applicable laws.
If Jileum takes temporary measures under Paragraphs 1 and 2, Jileum will, in principle, notify the person requesting the measure and the person subject to the measure without delay by electronic means or similar methods. In such cases, the person subject to the measure may raise an objection through Customer Center - Inquiry. However, for posts that clearly violate company policy, Jileum may omit part or all of the foregoing procedures only when necessary.
Jileum may store and retain users’ posts and chat content. Jileum may access such information only when necessary for handling complaints and disputes within the Service, maintaining and improving order, strengthening service functions, applying artificial intelligence technologies for content generation, provision, and recommendation in order to improve user experience, developing new services, or confirming and handling violations of applicable laws or these Terms.
Jileum may entrust related tasks to third parties only to the extent necessary to achieve the above purposes. Except where required by law or where provided to parties to a transaction, Jileum will not provide such information to third parties. In addition, when accessing information for the purpose of handling complaints or mediating disputes within the Service, Jileum may notify the user of the reason and scope of such access.
Right to Use
Jileum grants users a non-transferable, free license to use the Service. However, this does not include the right to use Jileum’s trademarks or logos.
Protection of Databases
With respect to all content provided by Jileum, content posted by users, and all data generated within the Service, the following acts are prohibited:
Collecting, reproducing, storing, distributing, publishing, analyzing, indexing, modifying, or creating derivative works from data by using automated tools, such as robots, spiders, scripts, scrapers, crawlers, or similar methods, without Jileum’s express prior written consent
Using the Service, content, or data for machine learning, artificial intelligence model training, development or improvement, or other data mining purposes, without Jileum’s express prior written consent
Examples include collecting, using, quoting, outputting, or creating derivative works from data for the training or building of large language models, generative AI systems, machine learning tools, or similar technologies.
Unauthorized data collection, use for artificial intelligence training purposes, circumvention of robots.txt files, or supporting or inducing a third party to perform such acts violates international internet rules and personal information protection principles, regardless of intent. In some cases, such acts may also violate applicable laws, including the Copyright Act and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. Jileum may hold violators strictly liable, including through legal proceedings.
Service Notices and Display of Promotional Content
For the convenience of users, Jileum may display various information related to the use of the Service, including notices and service promotions, on service screens, or send such information through mobile phone text messages, push notifications, or similar methods, and users agree to this. In such cases, data charges or similar costs may be incurred depending on the user’s communication environment or rate plan.
In addition, data communication charges incurred when using the various services provided by Jileum shall be borne by the user in accordance with the user’s service agreement with the relevant telecommunications carrier. Any additional costs incurred from viewing advertisements included in the Service shall also be borne by the user in the same manner.
Meanwhile, based on activity information within the Service for which the user has consented to collection and use, Jileum may send information regarding products or services sold by other users or similar parties through the methods described above, provided that such information does not directly generate revenue for Jileum or is not directly related to products sold by Jileum. Users agree to this. However, except for matters that must be provided under applicable laws, users may refuse to receive such information at any time. In such cases, Jileum will immediately stop sending the relevant information.
Offline Services
For users of the Service, Jileum may receive requests from users for delivery, brokerage, or similar services and may perform such services directly or entrust them to another company. Matters to be observed by the company and users in relation to such services shall be governed by the Offline Service Terms of Use, Delivery Agency Service Terms of Use, and similar terms.
Dispute Mediation
Jileum operates a Dispute Mediation Center to receive and resolve disputes between users, and the specific procedures and standards shall be governed by the relevant operating policies. In addition, if relevant agencies lawfully request Jileum to provide user information in connection with transaction-related disputes, Jileum may submit the relevant materials.
Suspension of Service
The Jileum Service may be temporarily suspended due to regular or temporary inspections for equipment maintenance and repair, or for other reasonable causes. In such cases, Jileum will notify users in advance through the service screen. However, if the Service is suspended due to reasons that Jileum could not predict, Jileum will notify users as soon as it becomes aware of the situation.
Termination of Use Agreement (Service Withdrawal)
If a user no longer wishes to use the Jileum Service, the user may apply for termination of the use agreement at any time through the menu provided within the Service, and Jileum will promptly process such request in accordance with applicable laws.
However, in order to prevent improper use, such as transaction fraud, users who have ongoing transactions or transaction-related disputes may be restricted from terminating the use agreement or withdrawing from the Service for a certain period of time.
When the use agreement is terminated, all data, including user information and posts created by the user, will in principle be deleted, except where information is retained in accordance with applicable laws and the Privacy Policy.
However, posts created by the user that have been scraped by third parties or posted through sharing functions, content added by the user to third-party posts in the form of comments, chats, or similar methods, and posts such as service reviews that may directly or indirectly affect other users’ use of the Service will not be automatically deleted. If the user does not want such content to remain, the user should directly make it private or delete it before applying for termination.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Jileum makes no specific agreements or warranties in relation to the Jileum Service other than those expressly stated in these Terms. For example, Jileum does not provide separate agreements or warranties regarding the content included in the Service, specific functions, availability, or similar matters. The Jileum Service is provided on an “as is” basis.
Compensation for Damages
If a user suffers damage due to Jileum’s negligence, Jileum will compensate the user for such damage in accordance with applicable laws.
However, Jileum shall not be liable for personal damages incurred in the course of accessing or using the Service, damages arising from a third party’s illegal access to or use of the server, damages caused by a third party interfering with transmission to or from the server, damages caused by a third party transmitting or distributing malicious programs, damages caused by omission, loss, or destruction of transmitted data, or damages arising from a third party’s defamation of a user or similar conduct in the course of using the Service.
In addition, to the extent permitted by law, Jileum shall not be liable for indirect damages, special damages, consequential damages, disciplinary damages, or punitive damages.
Amendment of Terms
Jileum may amend these Terms in order to reflect changes in laws or services, or may change the usage methods, guidance, notices, and similar matters of the Customer Center for each service.
If the Terms are changed, Jileum will post the changed contents on the initial screen of each service, and the changed Terms will take effect seven days after the date of posting. However, if the changes are disadvantageous to users, they will take effect 30 days after the date of posting, and in such cases Jileum will individually notify users by electronic means.
Jileum will receive users’ opinions from the date the changed Terms are posted until the effective date. If no opinion is received during that period, the user will be deemed to have agreed to the changed Terms. If a user does not agree to the changed Terms, the relevant service to which the changed Terms apply can no longer be provided.
User Opinions
Jileum values users’ opinions, and users may submit opinions at any time through inquiries to the Customer Center within the Service.
Jileum may deliver news to users through push notifications, chats, mobile phone numbers, or similar methods. Notices to all users shall take effect by being posted on the initial screen of the Service or in the notices section.
These Terms apply to the relationship between Jileum and users and do not grant any rights to third parties. Even if a user violates these Terms and Jileum does not take immediate action, this shall not be deemed a waiver by Jileum of the relevant rights. In addition, even if some provisions of these Terms are unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
The laws of the Republic of Korea shall apply to these Terms and the Jileum Service.
